A-Cube

A paper using A-Cube® was published in the international academic journal in the field of dermatology, “The Journal of Dermatology.”

In this paper, we developed a Japanese version of the “UCLA GIT 2.0,” an assessment tool for gastrointestinal (GIT) symptoms in systemic sclerosis (SSc), and evaluated its reliability, validity, and sensitivity. In an evaluation of 38 Japanese SSc patients, the Japanese version of the GIT score showed internal consistency and was significantly correlated with the frequency assessment scale for gastroesophageal reflux disease symptoms. It also showed moderate correlation with some quality of life (QOL) assessment scales. Furthermore, in 10 patients who received intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG), the GIT score significantly decreased after treatment, confirming the sensitivity of the score to capture the treatment effect. This Japanese version of the GIT score is expected to be used in clinical trials for SSc patients.
