About the service in general

How do I place an order?

The process is as follows. First, please contact us using the quotation form.
1.Request for quotation.
2.Prepare test request form. (Review the consent form.)
3.Send the test request form, sample, and consent form (optional).
4.Analysis
5.Report results
6.Pay the test fee

How much does the test cost?

Please contact us using the quotation form.

How should I send the test request form and consent form (optional)?

Please enclose it with the sample.

Where should I send the samples?

Please send the samples to the address below. Please send it so that on Wednesday or Thursday morning (excluding the New Year holidays). We are not available to receive samples on Saturdays, Sundays, or public holidays. If you live in Japan and send us the specimen, please e-mail us the estimated date of arrival. If you live outside of Japan, please e-mail us the date you sent the sample.

Do I have to pay for shipping?

We apologize for the shipping costs, which will be borne by the customer.

What is the report of the analysis results?

Could I cancel or get a refund for this service?

If you contact us before the sample arrives at our company, we will cancel the order. Please contact us by email. Once we have started the analysis (including preparation) of this service, you cannot cancel. If you have a compelling reason to cancel, or if we accept the cancellation, you will be responsible for the analysis fee for this service according to the process we have followed up to the time of acceptance.

When will I receive my invoice?

We will send you an invoice by the 10th of the following month.

What payment methods can I use?

Please transfer the funds to the bank account listed on the invoice.

About the sample

Is it possible to test if the sample volume is less than 300 μL?

If the sample volume is less than 300 μL, please contact us.

Is it possible to test blood samples that have been collected for a long time?

Yes, it is possible. However, samples that have been stored for a long time may generate precipitates after centrifugation. We will consult with you if centrifugation of the sample does not yield more than 200 µL of supernatant from serum or plasma.

Could you return the remaining samples?

Yes, we can return any remaining samples, please indicate on the inspection request form.

How long do you store the samples?

We generally discard the samples after the analysis is complete unless you request their return at the time of your request.

Are there any precautions to take when sending samples?

We may not be able to provide analysis in the following cases. Please check the disclaimer on the test request form for details.

・If the sample is less than 300 µL.
・If there is the sample temperature control problem due to transportation trouble.
・If sample has BSL3 or higher risk of infection.
・If it is suspected that appropriate informed consent is not obtained
・Other cases where we determine that the test cannot be performed due to the quantity or quality of the sample.

About the analysis

How long will test results be reported?

We generally report to you within two months of receiving the sample. However, reporting may be delayed during busy periods.

What are the deliverables?

We will deliver the result report (pdf) and quantitative data (Excel) for each loaded protein with Dropbox or CD-R. The following files are included in the deliverables.

・” Analysis results report” file (PDF format): contains a summary of the analysis, experimental overview, data analysis, results, etc.
・”Quantitative Data” file (Excel format): contains quantitative data on the signals for each loaded protein obtained from the fluorescence images after the assay.

How do I read the report?

Could I get help interpreting the results?

We are very sorry, but we cannot provide any assistance with interpreting the results. We ask you to interpret the results of your data.

Are there cases where analysis is not available?

In the following cases, analysis results may not be obtained. Please check the disclaimer on the test request form for details.

・Sample contains antibodies against wheat proteins.
・Sample contains antibodies against FLAG tag and/or GST (Glutathione S-Transferase) protein.
・High background due to other factors in the samples.

Technical Questions

What are the features of the HuPEXR comprehensive protein array?

The antigen proteins loaded on the array keep wet from protein synthesis to assay. Thereby it is possible to measure immune responses and material reactivity under conditions similar to those found in vivo.

What proteins are loaded in the array?

Click on the “Gene name and function of the loaded proteins” button on our website of HuPEXR comprehensive protein array to see a list of the loaded proteins and gene names.

Is it possible to newly mount proteins that is not currently loaded?
