Sjögren’s syndrome-related antibody detection set (research test)
Sjögren’s Syndrome (SS) is a systemic autoimmune disease that causes inflammation mainly in the organs that produce tears and saliva. The cause of the disease is unknown, but it is known to predispose women in the 40-60 age group.
The main symptoms are dry eyes, dry mouth, and vaginal dryness.Approximately 45% of patients suffer mainly from dry symptoms, but about 50% may also develop some systemic organ involvement (generalized fatigue, arthralgia, skin rash, photosensitivity, interstitial pneumonia, neuropathy, renal damage, muscle symptoms, abnormal blood tests, etc.).
Complications of hematologic diseases such as malignant lymphoma and primary macroglobulinemia also occur in some patients (approximately 5%).

This test uses the same protein array technology as the A-Cube® research test and can test 26 different antibodies simultaneously.

ROHHAD syndrome is a rare disease characterized by sudden obesity, pituitary insufficiency, respiratory failure, autonomic nervous system abnormalities, and nerve tumors.Currently, it is not classified as a “chronic childhood disease” or a “designated intractable disease” in Japan. However, it is reported that it should be recognized as a fatal disease due to its high mortality rate.
This test is mainly used to detect anti ZSCAN1 and anti-NAX autoantibodies associated with ROHHAD syndrome (Rapid-Onset Obesity with Hypothalamic dysfunction, Hypoventilation, Autonomic Dysregulation, and Neural Tumor) using ELISA.
This test is a research test and cannot be used for diagnostic.
